Braden's Birthday (better late than never)

We had a wonderful time celebrating Braden's 6th Birthday. My mom and my sister joined us for the festivities and we had so much fun. Each year our kids get to choose what resturant they want their birthday dinner at. The winner this year......Gerties! If you are not a resident of Twin Falls then let me enlighten you. Its an all you can eat pizza place that has the best Chicken Ranch Cashew pizza you'll ever eat, and their dessert pizzas rock too. Literally we stuff ourselves to the point of engorgement, but its fun to get all the different varieties. We have the best time when we are all together as you can see.

Braden also had a friend party at a bowling alley which was the greatest idea ever! The kids had a hour of bowling and each spent $1.50 on the arcade and of course they all had yummy birthday cake. I liked it because I didn't have to have it inside our home. As for most of the days in October, it was a little chilly. Braden loved being the center of attention and had a wonderful birhtday. We love you buddy

This Handsome Boy is Six Today!

Yeah! Braden turns SIX today! All week is has been counting down the days with a paper chain Bailee made for him. I cant believe my boy is growing up so fast. We sure love you Braden and thank you for six wonderful years. Here are some pictures of the cutest baby ever! The quality isn't the greatest, I took the picture off the picture, but it will work just fine. Don't you just want to give those cheeks a good squeeze! This is Braden when he was 3 months. This is when he was six months, and yet he still makes that face

Bradens Soccer Game!

This fall, Braden has been playing Soccer! It was his first time playing and I think he liked it. Kindergarten Soccer is entertaining to watch and sometimes very stressful! Some boys would go the wrong way, making it easier for the other team to score and one time they actually scored for the other team! Braden even scored a couple of times which he thought was the coolest thing. Even though our team never won it was fun to see them try. To end the season everyone received a medal. Hopefully, Braden will want to play next fall, for he could be pretty good with a little more practice.

Pocatello Marathon!

The Pocatello Marathon was upon us after 3 LONG months of training. We spent Labor day weekend in Pocatello enjoying good friends and family and many nights of eating out! The best part of our trip for the kids was our hotel. Isn't it crazy how the simple things make children the happiest. A week before, Cameron hurt his knee running and was a little nervous on how his knee was going to feel after running 26.2 miles, but he did AWESOME! He had many supporters who cheered him on and we were all glad when he made it at the finish line four and a half hours later. Cameron made a goal for himself to finish it under four hours, but with his knee it slowed him down. I think he still made great timing though, afterall it being his first marathon. I asked him after the race if he was going to run another one and the answer is probably not, maybe half marathon. Apparently that extra 13 miles is torture. Here are some pictures of our "Runner"

We've Survived!

We have survived the first week of school! Yeah for us! The summer of waking up whenever we wanted has offically ended and its back to the rise of the sun. I think Mom is the only one who is still getting used to the idea of being up so early. Bailee is now in 2nd grade and is loving it, hopefully, she will still love school a few months in. She also has a teacher who seems nice and fun. Bailee is growing up so fast and pretty soon she will be in high school! sniff, sniff.

This is the only picture I took of Bailee for we still had to get Braden settled in and school was going to start in a few minutes. She looks so happy to be at school.

Braden's day had come to start Kindergarten! He was thrilled to be in the same school as Bailee and loved it when his friends were in the same class. (Poor teacher) He loves learning and I'm sure he will be a great student

Braden also has a great teacher, the same teacher Bailee had for Kindergarten. Braden has AM Kindergarten so I was able to take pictures without the craziness of everyone after school. I sure do miss my cuties while they are having fun at school, but I also love the quietness of just me and Malia. She has become my shopping buddy and we have FUN!

A Luau Party

I have failed to post about Bailee's 7th Birthday so here it is. On June 23rd we took her out to Gerties and had all you can eat pizza and we stuffed ourselves FULL! Grandma and Grandpa came and so did Aunt Collette and Kelsy. She opened her presents there and had a great time. After dinner we surprised her with a NEW BIKE! She was thrilled and had to take a few drives down the street to test it out.

Bailee had a Luau Party for her 7th Birthday (that makes me very old). I had fun finding all the decorations and making it a blast for the girls. We gave each girl who came a Hula skirt, Lei, flower Headband and a flower Ring. Each girl looked so cute, here are a few of the girls.

After everybody was dressed up we made lunch consisting of Hotdog and Pineapple Shishkabobs, Coconut Bread, Grapes, and for our drinks: Shaved Ice. Each girl made thier own Shishkabobs and we then grilled them on the BBQ.

After Lunch we played Limbo, Water Balloon Races, Slip in Slide, and to end the day each girl had a chance to sing karoke with Bailee's new Wii game, High School Musical Sing It. I think Bailee had a wonderful birthday party with her friends. We love you Bailee!

Malia Marcelene Turns TWO!

On June 18th, we celebrated a joyous event, Malia had a birthday and is now the tender age of TWO! Let me tell you the Terrible Two's have already kicked in. I thought we would go to the movies during the day and have fun, but little Malia had different plans. We went to see the Water Horse, not the greatest show but it was that or Marley and Me and I heard that it wasn't a good one to take kids to. We sit down and watch the movie for like 10 minutes and broke out the candy for our kids to eat. Another 5 minutes down and Im thinking "Hey this is turning out great" and then it started. Malia is throwing her candy and screaming. I took her out and told her she needed to be quiet and we went back inside. As soon as we sit down she started screaming again so of course we had to leave and I thought maybe she was thirsty , so I bought all three kids a drink and sat back down. More screaming and her pop goes flying all over the floor. AGHHHHHHHHHHH! Finally, we had enough and went home after only seeing half of the movie. The conclusion: Malia and movie theaters dont MIX! and I bought a summer movie ticket for her. Oh well.

She was more pleasant after a good lunch and a nap and was excited for her party later that day. We invited Grandma and Grandpa Clark, Aunt Collette and the Andersons, our neighbors across the street, to have a BBQ Party. Malia loved all the attention from everyone and loved opening her presents and the best part, eating cake (well the frosting anyway). Malia got mostly clothes from us and grandparents and she will look so adorable in them. The nieghbors gave her a book, which has become her favorite, some sand toys, and a water floaty for the pool. Hopefully our year of being TWO is not too TERRIBLE! We can only wish!

Malia was hillarious and had to show Grandpa each present she got. What a cutie!

Happy Birthday Malia Girl! We love you!

Dancer of the Year!

On May 30, Bailee had her end of the year recital. She was SO excited to dance in front of everyone and to be in her pretty costume. Bailee has been taking ballet and tap since the beginning of September and she loves it. Ahh taking after her mother I guess. Grandma Judy flew in for the special day and Aunt Megan and Bella came as well. Bailee did a great job dancing and even WON the Dancer of the Year award in her division. Way to go Bailee!! I was so proud of her, my little dancer! This is her dance teacher who Bailee always has a smile for.Grandma Judy and Bailee sharing a sweet moment

Power of Coupons and Preschool Graduation

We have had a busy week! Well I have anyway. My friend got me started on shopping with coupons and I have been addicted. It is so fun and also confusing at times. Thanks to the internet for allowing me to print coupons, and my friend for showing how to put the items together that will be the most beneficial. I had my first shopping trip at Albertsons the other day and I was so excited to see what I could get without spending alot. It made grocery shopping a little more fun. This is what I bought:

4 pkgs of Wheat Thins
6 BBQ sauce

2 pkgs of hot dogs
3 6-pack hersheys chocolate
3 pkgs of marshmellows
1 container of ice cream
1 2 liter of pop
4 Skintimate shave gels
3 pkgs of honey maid graham crackers
2 Darigold chocolate milks

and the grand total of what I paid after coupons...... is..............$8.68! Wow isn't that crazy. Now only if my coupon inserts come in the mail soon, so I can have LOTS more coupons to save. Braden also graduated from Pre-school and had a program with lots of songs they have learned over the year and ended with a ice cream party afterwards. Braden sure loved going to preschool and has learned alot too. What a smart little boy we have, and a handsome one too! Here are some pictures of him at preschool

Now he is off to Kindergarten and is all grown up! :(
